Inspired by nostalgia, Go DESi invites consumers to reconnect with their cultural heritage through traditional candies, crafted in various flavors using fruit pulp and naturally sweetened with the wholesome goodness of jaggery.
Brand Origin
During a trek to the Western Ghats in January 2018, FMCG professional Vinay Kothari discovered jackfruit candies at a roadside stall. One bite took him on a nostalgic journey, bringing back long-lost childhood memories. Unable to resist, he left with bags full of those delightful treats.
Back home, he decided to share this experience and set up a stall at a flea market. The response was incredible—the candies sold out in just half a day! Motivated by this success, Vinay joined forces with his sister Raksha, and together, by the end of the year, they launched GO DESi- a D2C food brand celebrating regional flavors and traditions.

- GO DESi secured one of its first institutional rounds from Rukam in 2018, and the VC firm has consistently supported the business.
- Rukam Capital invested INR 79 Cr across three rounds and recently joined another round of INR 41 Cr.
