Asking Delhi’s GenZ How Much They Spend in a Month
At Rukam Capital, we spend a lot of time thinking about the future and Gen Z is a big part of it. Yet, most conversations about this generation are built on assumptions rather than lived realities.
We have started GenZ Life Fundas because we felt it was important to pause and actually listen. To understand how Gen Z thinks, what shapes their decisions, and how their realities change from city to city. This series is our attempt to document those voices honestly, without judgement or commentary. This is the first episode of that journey.
In this episode, we explore Delhi Gen Z, and their relationship with money. From high-end markets to student-heavy campuses, we spoke to young people across different social and economic backgrounds to understand how they spend, save, prioritise, and perceive money. Because money isn’t just about numbers, it’s deeply influenced by access, environment, and the stage of life one is in. And for Gen Z, money is being navigated very differently than it was by generations before.
